HIGH DEFINITION SURVEILLANCE

One of the biggest advancements in the security industry is the introduction of High Definition Video Surveillance. Traditional DVR based systems with analog cameras have reached their limits and will only record 640x480 resolution (or 0.3 megapixels). High definition video starts at 1.3 megapixel (or 1280x1024) and can reach over 5 megapixels (or 2560x1920).

With high definition video, customers can significantly reduce up-front costs associated with deploying a video surveillance system while eliminating liability concerns.

  • Megapixel cameras provide larger areas of coverage with improved detail. A 1.3 megapixel camera can cover the area traditionally requiring four analog cameras.
  • Megapixel cameras provide forensic detail such as facial recognition, license plate capture and stock loss prevention.
  • Megapixel video is stored digitally allowing for zoom-in both live and on the recordings.
  • Advanced analytics are now available including missing objects, foreign objects and person counting. Remote live and recorded viewing from anywhere in the world is available on most systems.
